GigaMedia's IAHGames and Blizzard Entertainment Partner to Bring StarCraft(R) II: Wings of Liberty(TM) to Southeast Asia

Well, now they're not more of EA anymore (FIFA), they're more of Blizzard now...
In May 2010, we signed an agreement to acquire controlling ownership
of the region's leading online game publisher, operator and
distributor, IAHGames, to secure access to large, emerging markets in
Southeast Asia;

Gigamedia now has control. I wonder what decisions they will make.
Gigamedia has FunTown, Mahjong, Everest Poker...so maybe they will control and lean more on gambling...
But then, they had a deal with Blizzard, which is in line with the original love: WoW. That's not gambling...Also, game mentioned was StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty..like a PC game...it will be like Game Arena? Online? Probably

Maybe GE 4.5 on July 1, 2010 as well...I just love guessing :)

Ticker is GIGM. At last, they are listed ^_^ but, like bought... overall status is more games, more playing ^_^

So much pressure on actually making money instead of just rosy forecasts...giga was grilled omg makes me want a grilled sandwich ^_^

I'm a budding analyst but no more free guidance... they get wealthy while I don't
(they seem to be on the right track anyway)
well, one more layer of higher ups

focus on the positive:
more playing ^_^

I found the Gigamedia deal while looking for more info about the Blizzard deal. It looks like Gigamedia has bought IAHGames, and that sucks since the interests of online gambling customers are not the same as mmorpg customers. I thought you'd be interested in a PR release that show's Gigamedia's balance sheet:

I'm astounded that Blizzard did this. Are they INSANE? IAH has a record of dismal failures for mmorpgs. Blizzard should have gone with a more experienced PH company for SEA distribution.

Yup, I saw the balance sheet, and I saw thousands of dollars :D So much Ca$h! I'm feeling like, if you can't beat them, join 'em :) They're now a legit gambling company! But come to think of it, they just make the gambling software... I think it doesn't mean they're a casino...
